Sorting process

Process flow of the
Cleansort sorting solutions

1
Material feed

Our modern vibratory conveyor technology enables optimum separation of the material.

2
Isolation

The separated parts are accelerated to three m/s via a conveyor belt made of specially selected material and fed to the object detection system.

3
3D object recognition

The object recognition line laser not only recognizes each individual part and its position, but also measures its surface and topography. This allows the optimum area for the measuring process to be determined.

4
Laser pre-cleaning

The top layer of the measuring surface is vaporized by ablation using laser radiation. This means that it is free of impurities such as paint, rust or other soiling and ready for analysis.

5
LIBS analysis

The LIBS measurement, which is also carried out by MetaLIBS immediately after cleaning, enables the material to be analyzed in real time with alloy-level accuracy.

6
Sorting

With up to 140 individually controlled air pulse nozzles, the analyzed parts are precisely sorted into their respective fractions with air pulses up to ten bar.
