Working Student Research & Development – Image Processing & AI

This is what your day looks like:
- You support our R&D team in the development of innovative measurement and image processing systems
- You design and carry out measurements to create representative data sets – including quality control of the recorded data
- You develop and implement image processing pipelines for pre-processing and analyzing image data
- You work with modern methods of artificial intelligence, in particular with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)
- You carry out evaluations and validations and use explainability methods such as Grad-CAM to better understand and optimize models
- You contribute your own ideas and work closely with experienced colleagues from the fields of automation, software development and measurement technology
What you bring to the table:
- You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study with a focus on image processing, AI or measurement technology
- You have sound knowledge of image processing and optics
- You have programming experience in MATLAB or Python – ideally you have already worked with PyTorch
- You can analyze data, document it in a structured way and present results clearly.
- You like to work independently, analytically and solution-oriented
- You enjoy learning new things and applying current AI methods in practice
